Former Stone Tree Golf and Fitness member Austin Ryan is tied for 9th after two days of the Canadian University and College Championship.

Ryan, a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, fired a 71 yesterday. Combined with his 70 on the opening day, he has a -3 total with two days to go.

The leader, Zach Olson of the Fraser Valley Cascades, has carded rounds of 68-69 and is at -7.

Ryan’s Laurier team moved up one spot yesterday into 9th place.

The championship is being played at Chilliwack Golf Club in British Columbia.

Ryan, who attended high school in the Owen Sound area and won several local championships, is scheduled to tee off at 1:23 p.m. Pacific Time today.

In last year’s University/College championship, held at Tangle Creek Golf and Country Club near Barrie, Ryan finished 7th and his team second.

Ryan, a member of the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, fired a 70 (-2) and is two shots off the lead which is shared by Adam Graham of Brock Badgers, Wyatt Brook of Vancouver Island Mariners and Zach Olson of the Fraser Valley Cascades.

Ryan’s Laurier team is tied for 10th.

The four-day championship is being played at Chilliwack Golf Club in British Columbia.
